Well I am not very bright when it comes to details about blogging and cannot get this video to upload. We took so many pictures, I thought it would be fun to remember them all with a little bit of music! The vacation was more than perfect and such a nice break. Austin and I loved getting to explore the Bahamas and relax for a week in the sun!

CERT

I have been meaning to post about this for a while, an important event in Austins life I do not want us to forget... not sure if he ever could though even if he wanted to :)

Austin spent 14 days out at Gowen field surviving his way through CERT (Correctional Emeregency Response Team) academy, and of course he passed top of his class!!

I was not there to experience anything with him, but what I have heard, pictures I have seen, emotions I saw in my hubby... it sounds AWFUL. He was tortured, pushed around, sprayed with OC gas, ran with telephone poles on his back, did enough push ups to last a life time, army crawled, shot guns, hand to hand combat, no sleep, room cleared and the list goes on.

 

 I missed him like crazy for those few weeks, but I am more than proud of him for setting this goal and passing the academy top of his class. He truly is amazing at what he does and genuinely loves his work. This makes me very happy. He works harder than anyone I know. He is dedicated and brave. He can be a beast and tackle anything they put in front of him... literally.

 

Congrats Aust I am so proud of all you have accomplished and the opportunities this opens up for you!

Easter and Baby Love

 Easter weekend was a good one this year. Kayla came to town, and we were able to all just hang out and relax. Mom made a big yummy ham dinner, some intense volley games in the backyard, and Easter eggs. We all went to church together and really enjoyed the day. I was sad to not have Austin there, but he is almost done! I wish I had a pic... Lily in her Easter dress... no bias..the CUTEST little girl ever!!

High Speed Pursuit

Michaela and I ran a half marathon last week put on by the prison. Austin has been at a "boot like camp" for the last two weeks, (another post) and I was crossing my fingers that his drill instructors would let them come out to the race for a second! We were about to start... and his bus pulled up! I was so excited, I hadn't seen him for a while, even though he couldn't even crack a smile it was so much fun watching him and have them send us off to start the race. I ran by blew him a big kiss and took lots of pictures. Hopefully embarrassed him a little bit right? So proud of him and so happy Kayla and I ran the race. The wind was....crazy to say the least. Thanks to my baby sister,who let me run the end of the race tucked behind her avoiding the wind, we finished! She is always a great motivator and really took one for the team this time, so thanks baby Kay!!

March 27 2010-Our wedding day

Today we celebrate the most amazing two years together!

I'm not a writer, therefor to put really how I feel into words is hard.

I can say, the last two years have been more than amazing.

To be married to your best friend is such a blessing.

We have had an incredible time starting our journey together as Mr. and Mrs. Legg!

Like my dad said at our wedding, his toast to us...

" The hard times are better with someone to lean on, and the good times are sweeter to share with someone you love!"

That's the truth.

Austin and I headed up to Spokane to be part of his Mom's special day.

 She was married to Greg, a great man with an awesome family. We enjoyed spending some time with her!

Lily Girl

I am so in love, with Lily Jane. Austin and I got to spend a whole weekend with this little love bug. Her parents left town and left us in charge!! The time went fast, and I loved every second.

Her innocence and love for life is contagious.

Her sweet smile melts my heart.

 Her intelligent mind is exciting and mind blowing. 

She is determined and has energy I only dream about.

She has opinions and confidence I envy.

Her squeals of excitement are priceless.

She loves life and is a happy girl.

I loved having a sweet little shadow right by my side all weekend long!!!

Lily was SO excited all weekend to have her "suitcase" and to pull things out of it each day.

We spent a lot of time on the phone with those she missed- mom dad grandma and grandpa-

Lily is such a grown up and would lay on the bed and just chat with them!

We love being goofy.

Lily was a great partner in my marathon training, she was THE BEST little sport and made it through a 5 and 9 mile run in the stroller!! She was great motivation and when I stopped to walk she would yell, "RUN!!"

I love you Lily girl!! Thanks for being perfect.

June 9th is the date. I'm going to check this one

off the bucket list at last!

Let the fun begin... and hopefully some warm weather so these runs are more enjoyable!!

I really do like to run, and I know some people just cant find the joy in it. I admit the first weeks of training are hard, they really are not the best, but I cannot wait to be at mile 20 and so on, its gonna be good.

So here's to buying some fun running gear, (underarmor has the best line of bright fun colors right now!!!!)  lots of GU chomps and new running shoes!

 SO happy to train and do this race with my sisters, nothing better than accomplishing something like this with the people you love most!!!! (training takes up ALOT of hours, so why not spend them with my besties!!) and lets be honest, they are my motivation, they keep me going and keep on running!
