It was fun each afternoon to explore the city a little bit.
This place grew their own plants to dye their own raw silk. It was Amazing to watch them all work so hard making the silk on the machines. They sold a lot of Beautiful things! We had the chance to shop at a few shops that were so unique with such wonderful purpose. One was employed by 120 women all with AIDS and all the proceeds went to support them and their families. Another silk shop went to support the wood carrying women. These women carried 150 pound stacks of wood on their back for MILES. They really were inspiring. I have never met such hard working women willing to do anything to support their families. They. are. incredible.

Ya Ya village was a beautiful compound. It has a gym, and is where some local Olympic Athletes come to train and run, as well as train younger aspiring runners. The plants, red rock trail and scenery outside the city was gorgeous!
Then we sort of happened upon Equus horse back riding company. The road was crazy getting way back into this village, but once we arrived, it was one of our favorite parts of the trip! I got to ride Beka and she did great, especially with my beginner riding skills..aka NONE. Lauren is a beautiful advanced rider and had fun racing our guide. The scenery through these mountains was Incredible!! I will never forget. The smell of fresh eucalyptus was refreshing. We got to see Shepard's in the field with their animals and saw a bush buck ,gazelle looking, animal. There are cheetahs and hyenas in the mountains but we unfortunately didn't get to see any!
The 2 hour ride was amazing.
