The baby is married.

Mr. and Mrs. Richmond!!!!!!!!!!
The week was perfect.
We had so much fun celebrating the new couple and enjoying time together with family and friends!!
Michaela was stunning!
We were all able to meet in Salt Lake for the long weekend. We were all at the little america hotel and had so much fun just spending time together, getting last minute wedding details figured out. We layed out by the pool, walked to temple square, shopped at city creek and rode the bikes around SLC.
Saturday was wedding day! Michaela had relaxed morning and then we all started to get ready. We met at the beautiful Red Butte Gardens around 5pm. The ceremony was gorgeous and the live music added the perfect touch. Michaela was stunning and the pictures are gorgeous. I was so happy for my sweet baby sister. There is nothing like finding your best friend and committing to spend forever with them. Casey and Michaela are a perfect match, they have so much fun together and add the perfect energy to our family!

After the ceremony we all went inside for an amazing chicken dinner. Some toast were made, they danced, cut the cake and we sent them off to park city with a fun bubble send off!
Thank you Michaela for planning such a perfect day and letting us all celebrate with you. You were beautiful and the whole day was such a good celebration celebrating the new journey you and Casey are starting!! Cant wait to see what the future holds for you :)
Side note: Austin was in the middle of his trip to the Phillipeans, we sure missed him!

End of Nursing School.

Wow, I cannot believe the day has come and gone, I finally finished Nursing school. What a long, rewarding journey it was. This is after my last day of clinical work at St. Lukes. I was able to spend my 100 preceptor hours in the NICU and fell in love.

I was even able to interview, and was offered a job... my dream job! I cannot wait to work and learn in the NICU starting this fall.
My first day of Nursing school January 2013. Last day of Nursing School may 2015.
Would not have survived school without the support of these girls. These friends are so special and each one so amazing with so many opportunities in their futures. Love my back row crew :)

CERT academy.

Hadley and I said goodbye to Austin for 2 weeks while he went to the CERT academy. This year he was a member of the cadre, and was able to help teach and instruct and build the PTMs up. He stepped up and really did a lot for the academy this year. He looks forward to these two weeks for so long, I am glad all went well and his team is stronger and more prepared for whatever they
 may face together.

Happy.Anniversary.

March 27 we celebrated our FIFTH wedding anniversary. Time really has flown by. The past 5 years  have been bliss. I could be so cheesy, but simply we are a perfect match and have so much fun together in this journey called life. Everyday I wake up and feel so lucky to call him mine. We enjoyed our day together, hiking, touring the old penitentiary, a picnic in the park and yummy dinner out. I love you Aust! Thanks for loving me.

Its A.........?!?!?!....

ITS A BOY!!!!!!!
A baby boy... we are have a SON.
Austin and I were lucky enough to do an ultrasound with my sister a week before our real ultrasound. Dr. Danny and Dr. Ally were 95% sure it was a baby BOY!! Austin and I then had a crazy week, talking to HIM, using the pronoun HE and saying its a boy, then randomly I would be like "wait, we do not know yet, we cant talk about it yet" haha!

Sitting with Austin while watching OUR little one move around on the screen was such a neat experience. Something I will never forget. Austin has been quiet, and a little nervous about this new adventure up to this point (20 weeks). When we finally were able to see the baby on the screen, moving around, waving his hand, "flexing" his arm, crossing his legs, it was so real and so special. I watched Austin and he was smiling, I think that day it hit us, we are parents and have a little one joining our family. How lucky our we this little one chose us, trusts us, and is coming to change our lives forever. Ill never forget that ultrasound how my heart really fell more in love with our baby boy.

A week later, we went to our ultrasound and "ti" our tech, smiled and said I  THINK its a boy!! Austin got a huge smile, his boy! She wanted to see him from a different angle, and after a few more minutes, we confirmed our little one (though fast asleep) was indeed a baby boy!

We had fun surprising  our family later that day!

Here are some notes from my phone the night after the ultra sounds:
"19 weeks: HUGE week... the Sunday before our ultrasound Danny and Ally took us to the clinic for an ultrasound and we found out your a beautiful baby boy!!!!!!!!!!! I had NO IDEA what we were having, I was happy for a healthy growing baby. That ultrasound was the most excited i have seen your dad. I was so surprised!!!! He was thrilled. We saw you sitting cross legged, wave, flex, wiggle and my heart melted. So so excited to see you again in a week! This moment was amazing, really almost indescribable. The best moment so far. I really feel my heart growing and loving you! Learned I have an anterior placenta so we may not feel you move for a little bit longer.
20 weeks: ULTRASOUND..a baby BOY! HR 130bpm, 10oz. Baby!! Such a good week! We LOVED the ultrasound. It was surreal. We sat down, Aust sat right by the bed, we were holding hands and "Ti" looked and started at your head, finally made her way through some measurements and looked, smiled and said "i think its a boy! but we need a different angle, yep its a boy!" Your daddy was all smiles. You were fast asleep during this visit, which was different than when we saw you with ally, you were so wiggly!...."

Baby.Baby.Baby!!

I cannot believe I am writing this post... we are having a baby!  I have spent my whole life loving babies. I really do just love their sweet perfect little spirits. There are not many things I love more than a squishy little newborn!!! I have so many kids that I have such a special connection with. They have taught me so many life lessons and bring so much joy into my life. Though throughout the past 10 years of "borrowing babies" as I like to call it, people constantly remind me, "just wait until its your own child!" I thought about it but its always been a thought of something far in my future...
Here we are at 17 weeks and it all still seems so surreal! Our family is growing!!! We couldn't be more excited or feel more blessed to welcome this sweet perfect spirit into our family!

The news a little shocking at first to the Daddy to be.
But as each week passes we are both feeling more comfort and excitement about bringing this baby home and growing from just the two of us... to the three of us!!! I tried to soften the news by using his favorite thing.. cowboys football haha, he was surprised but it was a fun night that I will never forget, sharing the news and the emotions we felt! This process is amazing, its crazy and a miracle and I am so happy to have Austin by my side!
December 19th we had our first ultrasound! We both were pretty nervous. We hadn't told anyone our news yet, and honestly I am not sure either of us 100% processed or believed this was really happening ha! Seeing our tiny 1.8cm baby with its 177 heart rate was amazing!! I remember looking back at Austin just smiling. He was smiling while neither of us said much. A baby was there, was growing, had a heart beat and we were going to be parents!!
Some of our biggest most special moments to date!
January 23rd we were able to hear the babies heart beat! Austin and I are not very emotional people, at least we do not show or share our emotions that often. I tease that we are probably funny OB patients. We heard the heartbeat, and Austin says "hmm that's not what I thought it would sound like.." haha we are definitely first timers and each milestone and appointment is a true adventure. Hearing the heart beat really is a special moment. Looking forward to the process and next 6 months.
